News and media

BBC News

One of the longest-running public RSS feeds on the web, and a reliable reference for what a conventional RSS 2.0 document looks like.

The BBC's feeds have been at essentially this shape for two decades, which makes them a good baseline: if your reader handles this one badly, the problem is yours.

It carries the media extensions for thumbnails alongside the core elements, so it also shows what a feed looks like once extension namespaces are in play.
