XML namespace

RSS content module

Supplies <content:encoded>, the element feeds use to carry full HTML article bodies.

xmlns:content="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/content/"

RSS 2.0's <description> is nominally a summary, so publishers that want to syndicate a whole post use <content:encoded> from this module, with the HTML wrapped in a CDATA section.

The URI mentions RSS 1.0 because the module was defined for RDF-based RSS, but it is used almost exclusively in RSS 2.0 documents today.
